Based on feedback from the NBA, the Bobcats won't file a protest concerning the basket-interference call against Emeka Okafor in Saturday's loss to Detroit.
Bobcat GM Rod Higgins contacted the NBA's Stu Jackson, asking for a review of game tapes after referee Mark Davis ruled that Okafor touched a ball while it was above the cylinder. That whistle negated a tip-in by Nazr Mohammed which might have beaten the Pistons.
"They feel that's the right call they made," Higgins said of Jackson's reaction.
Higgins said he did not anticipate the league taking action against Coach Sam Vincent for criticizing officials.
