Ricky Davis, the Heat guard who most believe is the most likely to be dealt should Miami make a trade, has asked the team not to trade him, the Miami Herald is reporting.

"I definitely don't want to leave again," said Davis. "I'm at the stage of my career where I'm trying to find a home, somewhere best for me. I want to be here."

Coach Pat Riley also has said the Heat has been involved in plenty of trade discussions although no moves were imminent.

"It's still a good place for me -- even though we're going through what we are," Davis said. "It takes a certain amount of time for a team to grow together and be on the same notch they were as champions two years ago."
