Doug Collins will find out whether he is the new coach of the Chicago Bulls by the weekend, according to a report by K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

The same sources from Collins' side who revealed the timeline said General Manager John Paxson has given indications he would recommend his former coach to club Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf, if he hasn't done so already.

Reinsdorf has constantly said that does not tell his GM whom he should or should not hire as head coach, but he does have veto power.
