After enjoying some individual success during his first appearance in the Olympic Games, Mavericks' forward Dirk Nowitzki is now focused on winning the NBA championship, according to Reuters.

"I achieved my first goal -- playing basketball for Germany in the Olympics," Nowitzki told journalists after his country finished the Games with a 1-4 record following a loss to the United States on Monday.

"Now my main goal is to win the NBA championship," Nowitzki added. "We'll have to wait and see how things develop with Germany in the years ahead."
