The Phoenix Suns plan to use solar panels as part of its power source at the US Airways Center, according to Arizona Daily Sun.

The new photovoltaic system will consist of more than 1,100 panels and will be on the fifth floor of the stadium.

The system is expected to be operational next year and cost about $1.5 million.
