Golden State point guard Monta Ellis is scheduled to have the screws removed from his surgically repaired ankle on Wednesday.

He should resume basketball activities within the next two weeks, according to the Warriors and Monta's agent.

"I've seen him moving like there's nothing wrong with him," Stephen Jackson said. "He's walking around without his crutches or anything, so hopefully, he'll heal fast.

"One thing we don't want to do is come back (too soon) and have him out for the rest of the season. But I think at this point, he's way ahead of" schedule.
