Warriors' guard Monta Ellis worked out on an elliptical trainer on the sideline as his teammate's practiced on Tuesday afternoon.

"You can see the fire in his eyes that he really wants to practice with us and play. He really misses basketball," center Andris Biedrins said. "I think he'll be really happy when he comes back."

Ellis tore ligaments in his ankle in a moped accident, which came weeks after he signed a $66 million contract. Golden State suspended him for 30 days without pay after it became clear that he had been hurt in an accident and not while playing pickup basketball, as he had initially claimed.

He has been cleared to work on rehabilitation for conditioning and strengthening as he works he way towards a return to the court.
