An MRI revealed earlier this week that Corey Maggette has a small tear in his right hamstring, which could keep him out for an unknown amount of time.

"There was a like a little strain tear in there, which was what I probably expected, being that this is like the fourth time it's been happening," Maggette said before Friday's game, his seventh missed contest of the season. "I'm just trying to make sure I take precautions. Now I think they want me not to just rest and come back and be out again.

"I was thinking that I was going to probably play (Friday). But since they did a different test (Thursday), they said my hamstring wasn't strong enough to try and go. But I compliment everybody. They're doing a good job of trying to help me out."

He will not travel with the team to Denver for Saturday night's game.

"I'm just going to try and be as patient as possible because I'm a very impatient person," Maggette said. "I just got to humble myself."
