Raptors forward Chris Bosh has been told to rest his sprained right knee, and could sit through next weekend's All-Star break.

He will miss Friday's game against New Orleans, and will likely sit against Memphis on Saturday as well.

"Obviously, I'd like to make sure he's healthy through the remainder of the season," coach Jay Triano said. "We have to look at the long-term picture, where we're going to be post-break. I'm going to wait and see how he responds to treatments on a daily basis."

Bosh isn't counting himself out of games past this weekend, but the training staff wants to be cautious.

"We'll take today and see how it responds," Bosh said on Friday. "I'm fine walking around, but during the game you're (running) and dealing with a lot of things. We're working on getting my leg a lot stronger than it is now.

"They (training staff) broke it down it down for me that if you don't pay particular attention to it, it could get a lot worse. I haven't had a free summer in three years, so that has something to do with it.

"I have my priorities in order. Will I be there next week? Yes, no matter (if he plays in Phoenix or just shows up at the all-star festivities to wave the flag)."
