Maverick guard Jason Terry, the league favorite to take out this year's NBA sixth man of the year award, sustained a broken bone in his left hand in the first half and missed the rest of Saturday night's game against the Chicago Bulls.
He was ruled out of the game at halftime after X-rays revealed the break, finishing with eight points and four assists in 16 minutes.
Terry told Mavericks officials he wasn't sure when the break occurred.
