Al Jefferson injured his right knee Sunday night late in the fourth quarter against the New Orleans Hornets.
"I just came down wrong on it. I felt it pop," Jefferson said. "I don't want to think about it until I get my X-ray tomorrow."
Jefferson, the key piece in the Kevin Garnett trade, leads the team in scoring (23.1 ppg), rebounding (10.9 rpg) and blocks (1.69 bpg).
The Timberwolves lost the game 101-97 despite 25 points and 14 boards from Jefferson.
