Jose Calderon is currently shooting 97.8% from the free throw line, which would set a new NBA season record in efficiency.

Calderon, however, was a 65% free throw shooter when he was 21-years-old playing for Alicante of the Spanish league.  He went on to shoot 85% as a rookie with the Raptors in 2005.

"Some players are content just being who they are, but not Jose," said Mike Evans, the Raptors assistant coach. "He's just put a lot of work into it. He takes it very, very seriously. And hard work pays off. He's a prime example of that. It's a good lesson for everyone."
