Despite their disappointing season, team sources indicate that the Nets are likely to welcome coach Lawrence Frank back next season.

New Jersey team president Rod Thorn sparked speculation earlier this week when he refused to ensure that Frank would return next year, the final season of his contract.

The Nets are close to being eliminated mathematically from the playoff race, but Thorn has publicly and privately said he is happy with the job that Frank has done.
