Marvin Williams joined his Hawks teammates in a portion of practice on Monday for the first time in a month.

Williams injured his lower back in a March 7 win over the Pistons, and hasn't practiced since.

He is still out indefinitely, but the team is hoping that just his presence will help reverse their current three-game skid.

"Our training staff isn't going to allow me to do anything I shouldn't be doing," Williams said. "They know what's best. Obviously, I want to get back out there as soon as I can to help my team. And my back feels well."

He will travel with Atlanta on a two-game road trip to Toronto and Milwaukee that begins on Tuesday.
