Dahntay Jones, playing under a one-year contract that will expire at the conclusion of the season, hopes to remain with the Nuggets.

"I would love to come back here," Jones said. "It's a great opportunity, a great situation with a bunch of great guys. We've been on the same page all year long. Guys are making the sacrifice to be a good team and it's paying off. Hopefully I'll have a chance to come back."

Jones is a defensive specialist, which is one of the main reasons why Denver retained him.

"We were going to add some more defense to this mix," vice president Mark Warkentien said. "And halfway through the camp, Dahntay won (the job)."
