The money still owed to Lawrence Frank may be the deciding factor in keeping him as head coach of the New Jersey Nets, the New York Daily News is reporting.
Frank is owed approximately $4.5 million next season, and with the team losing upwards of $30 million a year it is unlikely that the Nets pay out Frank as well as a new coach.
Frank does have the support of Nets owner Bruce Ratner and team leaders Vince Carter and Devin Harris, but team president Rod Thorn has not been willing to guarantee that Frank will be back next season.
