Heat rookie Michael Beasley hasn't played as well as fellow top pick Derrick Rose this postseason, but he's doing his best to learn on the fly.

"He's such a gifted offensive player, when he gets a couple of open looks ... he expects to make it," Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. "It's a great personality trait of his, and that's a part of his competitiveness.

"He's learning. He's learning that every single possession, you've got to be into it."

Beasley is just 11-for-36 in the playoffs, and at times has forced his shots against the Hawks. He also acknowledged that playoff basketball is completely different from the regular season.

"Every little play, every dribble, every shot, it's crazy. Everything is like 100 times faster," Beasley said.
