Illinois High School Association officials said late Friday that they are investigating the eligibility of several players from the 2006 and 2007 Simeon teams.

Those clubs won the Class AA boys basketball championship, with Bulls rookie Derrick Rose on the roster.

According to the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times, the investigation is in response to allegations of grade changing.

IHSA executive director Marty Hickman told the Tribune that Simeon might have to forfeit games and championships if players were found to have been ineligible when they competed.
