Suns forward Amare Stoudemire underwent outpatient surgery on his right eye on Friday.

The team said the procedure was part of the recovery process from the initial operation he had in late February to repair a detached retina.

Phoenix ophthalmologist Dr. Jay Schwartz said that a small amount of fluid was removed and called the surgery "routine."
