The Suns and point guard Steve Nash are still working on terms of a two-year contract extension, according to sources.

In addition, Nash hasn't ruled out playing out the final year of his current contract and becoming a free agent next summer.

Phoenix is believed to have offered Nash a two-year extension worth $20 million.

"I am hopeful," Suns owner Robert Sarver said of keeping the point guard in the desert. "[Nash] likes Phoenix and we like him."
