Heat president Pat Riley appeared to indicate on Thursday that the team is still focused on 2010, despite rumors linking them to high-profile free agents.
In a meeting limited to season ticket holders and a few members of the media, Riley said that he won't risk next summer's cap space to eventually lose out on the opportunity to place a pair of top-flight free agents alongside Dwyane Wade.
Riley added that the team could acquire Lamar Odom, Carlos Boozer or both and still put itself in position to be a major player in 2010 free agency.
