Prep star Jeremy Tyler is close to signing with Maccabi Haifa of Israel's top division.

"We are very close,"  Sonny Vaccaro, an adviser to Tyler, told the New York Times. "Everyone is in agreement. His agents need to formalize everything."

Tyler became the first player to drop out of high school to play basketball outside the United States. The 6-foot-11 prospect will play two seasons overseas before being eligible for the 2011 NBA Draft.
