Former NBA guard Jerome "Pooh" Richardson reluctantly testified Monday that he was tipped off about a drug raid involving his half-sister.

Richardson's friend, a Philadelphia police officer, alerted him of the pending raid in August 2005.

He testified under a grant of immunity. He admitted to calling his sister immediately after receiving the news and told her to "leave right now."

Despite her brother's warning, Asya Richardson was arrested on Aug. 10, 2005 when an FBI task force raided her home in New Jersey.
