Kings swingman Francisco Garcia will miss at least four months with a right forearm and wrist injury.
Garcia was laying on an exercise ball while lifting two 90-pound dumbbells when the ball exploded.
"Just a regular day, lifting weights," he told the Sacramento Bee. "I was out there, on the PhysioBall. We've got an understanding that the exercise was good. We'd been doing that, and it exploded on me. I didn't have time to react or anything. It's crazy, man. I keep reflecting in my head. It's crazy."
Garcia added that he hopes to travel with his teammates occasionally while rehabbing the injury.
"I want to be here as much as I can, be on the road as much as I can," he said. "I just want to be there with them, as a teammate, as a friend, as a leader. I think they really need me out there, even if I'm not playing."
Garcia also hopes to become ambidextrous, as he will only be able to use his left hand.
