It has been more than two weeks since Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has played.
He has a strained tendon behind his right ankle where fluid is accumulating and the team is being very cautious.
"They're worried about me coming back too soon," Rose told the Chicago Tribune. "They tell me to take my time. They're not listening to me. If it was up to me, I'd tape it up and be on the court. They said they want it to be healed totally before the season starts."
Rose insists that he feels good and doesn't foresee himself missing the team's season opener against the Spurs on Oct. 29.
"I'm not worried about that," he said. "Hopefully, I will be back. It felt good (Friday). I should be back pretty soon."
