Pacers co-owner Herb Simon told the Indianapolis Star that he believes president Larry Bird will remain with the team past this season.

A report in the New York Post on Sunday claimed that Bird plans to leave the team after this season because of "health and lack-of-enjoyment issues."

Bird said in an interview last month that he plans to remain with the Pacers at least until things get turned around.
