Oklahoma City head coach Scott Brooks, who attended Lathrop Elementary and is a graduate of East Union High School, was honored in his hometown.

The gym at Lathrop Community Center is now known as the Scott Brooks Gym in honor of the 09-10 NBA Coach of the Year.

The resolution was approved by the council 3-0 with Councilman Christ Mateo absent.
