Lakers owner Jerry Buss supports NBA commissioner David Stern's vision for increased revenue sharing even if it means he'll be giving up some of his money for nothing in return.

"Not only are we not going to fight it, we'll support it," Lakers spokesman John Black said, "due to the benevolence of our owner, who is willing to sacrifice for the overall good of our league."

Stern spoke of the league's large-market clubs being open-minded to increased revenue sharing when he was at Staples Center last week.

"We have broad agreement by the large-grossing teams that this is a fair and necessary subject for discussion."
