Rockets center Yao Ming is hoping to return to the floor on Tuesday when the team faces the Pistons, according to the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen.

Yao went through Houston's shootaround on Wednesday and plans to practice on Thursday.

He hasn't played since Nov. 10 because of a strained tendon in his left leg.
