Duke defeated UAB 85-64 on Wednesday in a game that was highlighted by Kyle Singler's 2,000th career point.

Nolan Smith scored a career-high 33 points to help the Blue Devils to their 24th straight victory dating to last season's run to the Atlantic Coast Conference and NCAA tournament championships.

Singler scored his 2,000th career point during a game-opening 26-4 run that took the drama out of the game early.
