Jalen Rose's production company helped produce ESPN's "The Fab Five."

"Those were the stories," Rose said of previous attempts to chronicle the Fab Five's rise to national prominence. "This is the Bible."

The documentary features a tour de force of information from coaches, scorned upperclassmen, and even rappers Ice Cube and Chuck D reflecting on the style elements (black socks, baggy shorts) the players brought to the rap world and vice versa, with the only notable absence being Chris Webber.

Despite repeated urgings from Rose, Webber declined to participate in the film.
