Observers are eager to see how the introverted Klay Thompson handles the added scrutiny when Washington State and Washington face off in the quarterfinals of the Pacific-10 Conference basketball tournament.
The junior guard will be playing in front of a number of NBA scouts (he has talked about turning pro after this season), and he was just voted the second-most overrated player in the conference in the 10th annual Contra Costa (Calif.) Times media poll.
Thompson, the Pac-10’s leading scorer at 21.4 points per game, was suspended one-game for possession of marijuana.
