The NBA and NBPA are conducting their first meeting in eight days and "progress is being made", according to a source.

Both the owners and players have endured a week where hardline factions have attempted to wrestle control from the key negotiating parties.

ESPN's Marc Stein reported earlier on Saturday that two teams said they expected a big push toward a deal as all parties are beginning to get fatigued from negotiations.

But Ken Berger of CBS Sports reported that several of the NBA's hardline owners may push David Stern to pull back from their offer of a 50/50 split of BRI.
