Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers are competing for minutes at point guard and playing very well, but there is no friction between the two.

"I look at Norris like a little brother," Chalmers said. "We're not going to be successful without players one to 15. It's not a competition at all."

Chalmers is having his best season since he was a rookie.

"There's no beef between us because we both want the team to win," Cole said. "When he's in the game, I'm hoping for nothing but the best for him. And when I'm in the game, he's wishing nothing but the best for me."

Dwyane Wade has been pleased with the production from the point guard position.

"I'm not used to that, but I'm getting used to it," Wade said.

The two also have contrasting styles, with Cole being a "pace changer" and a "true point guard", while Chalmers stretches the defense and gets the Heat into their halfcourt sets.

"We keep defenses off balance when we switch it up," Chalmers said. "Norris is more of a person who attacks the paint, and I'm more of a shooter who gets to the rim second. So it's a good combo."

Chalmers and Cole have combined to average 20.5 points, 7.2 assists and 3.3 steals per game.

"It's like a one-two punch," Cole said. "We both know our strengths, and when we're in there, we play to our strengths."
