Several Timberwolves, including Kevin Love and Derrick Williams, visited a Dallas-area cryotherapy clinic to experience intense cold therapy, a procedure that subjects the body to four blasts of nitrous oxide followed by 3 minutes of temperatures as low as minus-166 degrees Fahrenheit.

Exposure to extreme cold has similar effects to that of an ice bath. Williams said he hopes the Wolves will get their own chamber within the next couple of weeks or month.

"The 3 minutes, that's all you've got to look forward to," Williams said. "An ice bath is 15 to 20 minutes. No one wants to sit in there that long."

Love also gives a nod to cryotherapy.

"You actually feel pretty refreshed when you get out of there," Love said.
