Iona's Scott Machado has been named the 2012 MAAC Player of the Year. Machado increased his average in assists to better than 10 per game while also become a more efficient scorer as a senior.

Machado was joined on the All-MAAC team by teammate Mike Glover, Siena's O.D. Anosike, Manhattan's George Beamon, Erik Etherly of Loyola (MD) and Rakim Sanders of Fairfield.

On the All-MAAC Second Team are Dylon Cormier of Loyola (MD), Lamont Jones of Iona, Fairfield's Derek Needham, Rider's Brandon Penn and Harold Washington of Canisius.

On the all-MAAC Third Team are Justin Drummond and Robert Olsen of Loyola (MD), Manhattan's Michael Alvardo, Devin Price of Marist, Juan'ya Green of Niagara and Darius Conley of Saint Peter's.

Rhamel Brown of Manhattan was named Defensive Player of the Year, while Drummond was recognized as Sixth Player of the Year.

Green, who won the Rookie of the Year, is joined on the All-Rookie Team by teammate Antoine Mason, Chavaughn Lewis of Marist, Evan Humes of Siena and Emmy Andujar of Manhattan.
