Matt Barnes and the Los Angeles Clippers are nearing completion on an agreement.

Barnes would give the Clippers a multi-dimensional role player, adding to their acquisitions of Jamal Crawford, Grant Hill and Ronny Turiaf.

Barnes has been recruited to the Clippers by Chauncey Billups, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul.

Barnes also received interest from the Miami Heat after spending the past two seasons with the Lakers.
