The Detroit Pistons participated in this week's trade with the Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies in a cap-saving move.

The Pistons could have between $30 million and $35 million in cap space should they amnesty Charlie Villanueva and cut Rodney Stuckey to save an additional $4.5 milllion.

But sources say the Pistons are also interested in re-signing Jose Calderon.

The Pistons like Calderon's ability to make plays for Andre Drummond, while also serving as a mentor to Brandon Knight.
