Even after upcoming signings in the frontcourt, the Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets remain possible suitors for Ivan Johnson, league sources told RealGM.

Johnson has been in dialogue with other interested NBA teams, too, and has recently worked out for several organizations. No frontrunner has emerged. The Clippers had been a finalist for Johnson in free agency last offseason.

After failing to receive a desired free-agent contract, Johnson signed with Zhejiang of the Chinese Basketball Association. He averaged 26 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.9 steals in 24 games with Zhejiang this season, before his release in late January.

Both the Clippers and Nets will have roster space after signing Glen Davis and Jason Collins, respectively.

As one of the most productive available players, Johnson, 29, averaged 6.5 points and 3.9 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per game in two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, establishing himself as a relentlessly active, rugged presence.
