Carmelo Anthony met with the Houston Rockets for six hours on Wednesday.

Anthony expressed that it would be difficult for him to leave the New York Knicks, but said winning was his priority.

"Carmelo seemed engaged and he made a point of saying that his first priority is to win," a source said.

Anthony also met privately for about 10 minutes with Dwight Howard and James Harden.

Anthony asked Kevin McHale questions about the offense and asked Howard why he chose Houston as a free agent last summer, the source said. Howard told him he loved the city and the support he's received from management and the coaching staff.

Anthony met with the Dallas Mavericks later in the day, though for just over two hours.
