The Indiana Pacers have waived Monta Ellis.

Ellis signed a four-year, $44 million deal with the Pacers during the 2015 offseason.

Indiana and Ellis were expected to reach agreement on a buyout.

David Aldridge reports the Pacers will use the stretch provision on Ellis' remaining $11.2 million salary.

The Pacers had a team option on Ellis for 18-19.
