The Houston Rockets will be aggressive in trying to acquire Paul George this offseason.

The Rockets would have to be creative to acquire George, as they were last offseason with Chris Paul, due to their limited cap space. Chris Paul, Clint Capela and Trevor Ariza will be free agents for the Rockets as well.

George has a player option for the 18-19 season.

“But Oklahoma City’s done a great job of selling him on a future there, and he liked playing with Russell Westbrook and Steven Adams and Billy Donovan,” Adrian Wojnarowski said. “They have a real opportunity to keep him, but the Lakers are home. He grew up in L.A., and when he left Indiana his plan was that he would be in L.A. in a year. So you have to credit Oklahoma City for really turning his head on that.”

The Rockets are also expected to pursue LeBron James.
