The Chicago Bulls have signed guard Matt Thomas. Thomas is expected to sign a non-guaranteed deal with a chance to make the Bulls roster following training camp.

Thomas split the 2020-21 season with the Toronto Raptors and Utah Jazz. He played sparingly with both teams, with just 327 minutes over 45 games. Following the season, the Jazz waived Thomas from his non-guaranteed contract.

Following going undrafted at the 2017 NBA Draft, Thomas played two seasons in Spain. While in Spain, the 6'4'' guard became one of the most-feared shooters in Europe, as he shot 46% and 48% on three-pointers in those two seasons.

The Bulls are looking for depth, following considerable roster turnover. Chicago also agreed to a deal with wing Stanley Johnson, who was teammates with Thomas in Toronto.
