The Sacramento Kings used one of their newly-created roster spots to sign big man Dylan Cardwell from his two-way contract. Cardwell and Sacramento signed a four-year deal, which follows a prorated version of the Second Round Pick Exception structure.
Cardwell has been a bright spot in a down season for the Kings. The 6-foot-10 center/forward has averaged 4.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. Cardwell has shot 59.8% from the field and been Sacramento's best defensive big man by a wide margin.
The Kings now have one open standard roster spot and one open two-way roster spot.
