The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to send the Miami Heat a 2026 second round pick as extra compensation from their Terry Rozier trade in 2024. Miami traded Kyle Lowry and a 2027 first round pick to the Hornets for Rozier.
The Heat were not aware at the time of the trade that Rozier was the subject of a possible gambling conspiracy in 2023.
Rozier is on paid leave while he faces conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering charges.
Rozier's $24.9 million guaranteed salary will be paid until Adam Silver determines whether league rules were violated.
Rozier will be a free agent this offseason as he's on an expiring contract.
