Veteran forward Joe Ingles is wrapping up his 12th NBA season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. If Ingles continues his career next season, it may be in his native Australia.
Ingles is reportedly interested in joining Australia's NBL for next season. The 38-year-old has spoken with both Melbourne United and South East Melbourne Phoenix about a role next season. The Adelaide 36ers are also interested in adding Ingles to their roster.
Since coming to the NBA ahead of the 2014-15 season, Ingles has played for four different franchises in the regular season. He spent the first eight years of his career with the Utah Jazz, then played a year each for the Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic. Ingles has then played for the Minnesota Timberwolves for the past two seasons.
Ingles started his professional career with the South Dragons of the NBL. After three seasons, he spent four years in Spain, then a season in Israel before moving to the NBA.
