The Miami Heat are waiving guard Terry Rozier on Friday. Rozier has been out all season while be investigated for his involvement in a gambling scandal.

Rozier's contract is fully guaranteed for $26.6 million. That amount will go on Miami's books as dead money. After having his salary initially held in escrow, Rozier has been paid on his regular pay schedule by the Heat.

By waiving Rozier, Miami will open a roster spot ahead of the 2026 postseason. The Heat are locked into a spot in the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament.
