Quin Snyder is set to enter the final season of his existing contract as head coach of the Atlanta Hawks ahead of the 2026-27 season. Snyder and the Hawks are expected to engage in extension discussions at the end of the season with him receiving strong front office support to be retained long-term.
The Hawks finished the regular season with the sixth seed as they pivoted away from the Trae Young era.
Snyder was targeted last offseason by the New York Knicks for their head coaching vacancy, but was not signed to an extension in response.
The Hawks hired Snyder towards the end of the 2022-23 season several months after his exit as head coach of the Utah Jazz.
