The Phoenix Suns and free agent point guard Collin Gillespie have agreed to a four-year, $48 million contract. Gillespie returns to Phoenix have a breakout this season in which he started 58 of the 80 games he played.

Gillespie joined the Suns on a two-way contract ahead of the 2024-25 season. Last summer, he re-signed with Phoenix on a one-year veteran minimum contract that paid him $2.3 million. Now, Gillespie cashes in on a deal that will average $12 million per season.

Phoenix had made re-signing Gillespie a priority this offseason. He fits the team's scrappy style of play under Jordan Ott. Gillespie's ability to play off the ball is also a good fit with Devin Booker in the Suns backcourt.
