Mark Williams has agreed to sign a three-year, $38 million deal with the Phoenix Suns in restricted free agency. Williams was set to be a restricted free agent, but the Suns came to terms before he could negotiate with rival teams.

Williams appeared in 60 games with the Suns in his age 23 season, averaging 11.7 points and 8.0 rebounds in 23.6 minutes.

The Suns acquired Williams at the 2025 draft from the Charlotte Hornets. Williams was previously traded to the Los Angeles Lakers at the 2025 trade deadline, but the Lakers rescinded the trade after his physical.

Williams, who is represented by Jeff Schwartz and Jordan Gertler, will be on a fully guaranteed new contract with Year 1 worth approximately seven percent of the projected $165 million salary cap.
